Hi everyone,
Here in Perth we had a tonne of rain and stormy weather over the weekend so I thought it would be the perfect time to show you my new cosy bedding from the Adairs Autumn Colour Romance Collection.
I’m beyond excited to be partnering with Adairs this year and styling various seasonal looks over the next 12 months. I was also lucky enough to fly to Melbourne for the Autumn Colour Romance Launch in March. I got to view all of the new season product in person and meet some incredibly talented women who I will be working alongside this year.
My starting point was the Winter Romance Cushion. This cushion caught my eye first because it has a range of beautiful colours that I can draw from to build layers and create a cosy bed, ready for the cooler months approaching. I then chose the Malta quilt and european pillowcases in sage because it has a subtle quilted texture and it ties back with the leaves in the romance cushion perfectly. I also find sage really easy to style with other colours. It looks nice with blush, rose, light grey, plum, burgundy, white etc so it can be restyled for future looks in a new palette.
Tip: When styling a bed, I usually buy the quilt cover and euros in the same style… Pair one standard pillowcase set with the sheets and the other standard set with whatever colour you have in the surrounding space. It ensures everything looks balanced and visually pleasing.
So abiding by my own little personal rule above, I selected the sheets and standard pillowcases next. I chose the Stonewashed Cotton Silver sheets and one pillowcase pair, then another set of standard pillowcases in the Vintage Wash Prune colour. Moving down to the throws, I chose the Himalayan Fur Blanket in Zinc and the Malmo Linen throw in Rose to layer together at the end of the bed. They not only add warmth and texture to the space but also tie in the dusty rose and warm grey elements in other areas of the room.
Lastly, I bought the Marmaris bedside tables to match the rest of my furniture. They’re a really nice sturdy bedside and I love the warmth of the timber. I’m also a big fan of the open bookshelf because I like having a place next to the bed to house a few magazines and books.
Well, that’s my AW18 look complete! I can’t wait to snuggle into this bedding during winter and enjoy the ‘fresh linen feels.’ Scroll down to shop the look and bag yourself a bargain in the current Adairs Autumn sale.
Much Love,
T x
